The Anxiety & Stress Clinic is a psychology practice based in Wollongong, providing evidence-based, tailored psychological care for adults navigating anxiety, stress and burnout across the Illawarra region and beyond. Founded by Ann Bailey, a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience and a published author across four books on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), anxiety and building a meaningful life, our team brings together clinicians experienced in ACT, CBT, DBT and Schema Therapy.
Our psychologists work with adults experiencing generalised and social anxiety, panic, OCD, specific phobias, PTSD and trauma, stress and burnout, mood concerns, and a range of other presentations, including eating disorders and body image concerns. Prof. Joseph Ciarrochi contributes to the practice’s research and development, bringing an academic, evidence-based lens to our clinical work. Beyond individual therapy, we offer ACT-based workshops and keynote presentations for organisations, schools and professional groups, corporate wellbeing programs, and clinical supervision for psychologists and therapists building their skills. We work collaboratively with referring GPs, psychiatrists and allied health providers — including support for patients under Mental Health Treatment Plans — and welcome connections with the local healthcare community.
